Description

Within the scope of the CPGE program on the study of electromagnetic waves, we offer an interferometric device on the Michelson model interferometer, in addition to the centimeterwaves kit (ref. 204029).

The additional Michelson 204619 kit allows you to constitute a Michelson interferometer using microwaves or centimeterwaves instead of a light source.

You can thus demonstrates the presence of interferences between the paths taken between both arms. In the same way as in optics, the wavelength of the transmitter can be determined by measuring the fringes spacing distance between two or more minima (identifiable by the sound intensity or measurableby a voltmeter).

This direct and simple direct use product is specially designed for a rapid and unambiguous positioning of different components of the kit:
- The positioning of the different elements are already provided
- The fixed mirror also has a rotation pivot that allows changing the configuration air gap to air wedge
- The beam splitter is also associated to a pivot to allow a precise positioning to 45°
- Moving the mobile mirror can be done through slides associated to a measurement rule
